Using a mirror effect, the Symmetry Tool on Drawing Desk replicates every detail you draw on your canvas. This way, you can now create symmetrical and well-balanced artwork in no time!
Additionally, the Symmetry Tool also includes several options, so that you can mirror your work at various angles and positions too!
Vertical Symmetry Option
This tool runs from top to bottom along your canvas. You can use it to create identical details on the left and right halves of your canvas.
Horizontal Symmetry Option
This symmetry tool divides your canvas across, from left to right. It's useful when you need to duplicate your art equally on top and bottom halves of your canvas.
Diagonal Symmetry Option
There are two Diagonal Symmetry options that mirror your work along a diagonal axis. The first runs across your canvas from the top left to the bottom right.
And the second splits your canvas from the top right to bottom left.
Dual Symmetry Option
Additionally, you'll also find two Dual Symmetry options that you can use to create 4 mirrored sections of anything you draw.
The first option splits your canvas from top to bottom, as well as from left to right.
The second option divides your canvas across, from corner-to-corner.
Radial Symmetry Option
This final option divides your canvas into 8 sections. Accordingly, it mirrors everything you draw allowing you to create 8 replicas of any detail you include.
You can find the Symmetry Tool icon above your canvas; it is the second icon from the right. To beginning using it,
- Tap the Symmetry Tool icon to view the options available
- Select the symmetry option you wish to use.
The relevant symmetry lines will appear on your canvas to guide you. Then, all you need to do is begin drawing, and the Symmetry tool will do the rest for you!
If you wish to switch to a different option, double-tap the Symmetry icon. You can tap the icon once more to stop using the Symmetry Tool.
